Canon Pixma 780: Basic Instructions
Nowadays, printers are not only capable of computer printing, but also performing tasks like scanning, copying, and faxing.
Canon Pixma 780 all-in-one printer is capable of printing 25 pages of black printouts and 17 pages of colored printouts per minute. Its fax machine feature can transfer data at a super 3G speed, and it can scan images using the high-speed interface of USB 2.0.
Printer Feature
When using its printer feature, the first thing to do is to ensure that the Canon Pixma 780 is properly connected to the computer and that the printer has paper. Open the document that needs to be printed and select “Print” option from the File menu. After that, you’ll see a ‘Print’ window pop-up on the screen. You may change the printing setting by clicking on the “Properties” button in the print window. When you are done, click “OK” button to begin printing.
Fax Feature
To send a document through fax, press the “Fax” button found on the printer. Lift the document cover and put the document on the glass, face down. Close the cover and dial the recipient’s number on the number pad of the machine. Press the “Black” or “Color” button to send the document in monochrome or colored.
To receive a fax, identify if you wish to receive phone calls via the telephone connected to the multifunctional printer. If you want to use it for faxing purposes only, scroll through the fax options using the left and right arrow buttons, and select “Fax Only Mode”. The machine will receive fax automatically when the phone rings.
If the phone will be used to receive voice calls and faxes, select the “Manual Mode” instead. When the machine is on manual mode, you have to lift the receiver when the phone rings. If a beep is heard press the “Black” or “Color” buttons to receive the transmission.
Copier feature
Perform the task by pressing the “Copy” button. Lift the document cover and place the document on the glass, face down. Indicate the number of copies through the number pad, and press “Black” for black-and-white copies, or “Color” button for colored copies.
