Kitchen Island Furniture

Kitchen islands often double as breakfast bars or lunch counters so it is necessary to have kitchen island furniture to aid in these purposes. Stools are the best option because kitchen island counters are often higher than a dining table so normal chairs will not work. When you are selecting your kitchen island stools make sure that they are not too high. You need to be able to sit at the counter and fir your knees comfortably under the edge. That means there has to be at least twelve inches between the top of the stool seat and the bottom of the kitchen island counter. If your kitchen island does not have a counter that extends out past the cabinet to create a spot for your legs then you might want to think about getting stools that swivel so it will be easier for people to sit down and eat at the counter. They can spin their knees to the side so that they can pull up to the edge of the island.
