Learning how to jump higher in basketball could be the most important thing you can do to become a great basketball player.  I say a great basketball player because first you must have all the fundamentals down to become a good player.  But if you are wanting to really take your game to the next level you need to turn your body into a machine that will perform at the highest possible level.

Jumping can be taught, so if you can only jump 24 inches you have a lot of area for improvement.  There is a limit but I guarantee you that you are no where close to your potential.  You can gain 10 inches if you know what you are doing and you train properly with a jumping program.

Knowing the best jumping workouts to increase your vertical leap can go a long way in your career for your sport.  No matter if you are trying out for your high school team or going on to play college you can learn to jump higher and become a better player.  Maybe you are looking to go pro but need a few more inches on your vertical leap, you can get those extra inches with proper training.  Remember that the best exericses to jump higher will have many jumps but they will not be super high reps like some programs I have seen.  You are training to jump higher, not for a longer period of time!  So stay away from any jump program that requires super high reps.
