The Chandelier Shade
The chandelier is not a new thing, it has been in use for hundreds of years, however it has changed a lot since its humble beginnings It started off as a simple design; two bits of wood, joined together in the shape of a cross, with a spike at the end of each arm. On these spikes you would place a candle and hang it overhead to give you light during the night. The word chandelier comes from the French, meaning “candle stick”.
Of course, the chandeliers of today are much more sophisticated, and some people spend millions of dollars for their fancy chandeliers. There are cheaper versions, however, so you don’t have to feel left out of the game. If you are lucky enough to have a chandelier hanging in your house, then you have probably already found out about the benefits of a chandelier shade. The shades work exactly the same as a normal lampshade, diffusing the light thrown out by your bulbs and creating a more intimate atmosphere.
