The Ugly Symtoms Of Angular Cheilitis
Angular Cheilitis are often extremely unsightly, even ugly, as they are located on the angles of the lips, and often extend to and include the whole of the skin around the mouth area.
Angular Cheilitis is also known, by those of us not in the medical profession, as cracked mouth corners. By this more common name you could imagine that the symptoms first appear on corners of the lips, and you would be right.
However, as the painful and embarrassing condition worsens, the affliction can and often does extend to include the entire mouth area resulting in redness, swelling, mouth corner sores, and crusty scabbing of the deep mouth corner splits.
Everyone is susceptible to Angular Cheilitis, but young people and the elderly and those that work outside tend to develop the humiliating symptoms the most.
