Using Carpet Shampooers At Home
Depending on the size, most carpet shampooers utilize tanks held on the back of the unit that contain the shampoo detergent. From there a hose runs down to a spray nozzle that dispenses the solution onto the carpet. Several brushes then spin in varying directions to work at the stains and break up the dirt for easy removal when the carpet is dry. It doesn’t take a lot of water to get this done but the more foam you create the better your chance of removing the stain. Getting up cat pee becomes little more than a nuisance with the carpet shampooer. You will have to wait a few hours possibly until the carpet dries but once it is all you have to do is take a vacuum and vacuum up the residual dirt. It might take a couple of applications if you use an inferior detergent so make sure you use something that is compatible to your home carpet shampooer.
