Using Scaffold Towers
Scaffolding installations have many uses particularly in large construction and renovation projects but they can sometimes be unsuitable or unnecessary on smaller building jobs or when completing simple DIY tasks. If work needs to be completed at height without the use of a full scaffolding installation then a ladder is sometimes used instead. Ladders do however impose significant limitations on the work that can be carried out while using them. It is obviously difficult to carry any tools or building materials while working from a ladder as there will typically be nowhere to store these items. There are also many safety issues which will arise when ladders are being used for all but the most simple of tasks. Many small builders and DIY enthusiasts are now either hiring or purchasing scaffolding towers or sometimes scaffolding ladders Which will offer all of the same benefits as full scaffolding installations along with the flexibility and ease of use that we are used to when working from a ladder.
A scaffolding tower is a temporary structure which can be erected quickly and easily by just two workers and can also be transported between locations. The tower is made up of the same components as any larger scale scaffolding installation but is designed with flexibility and convenience in mind. While working at height from one of these structures a worker can enjoy a large platform to walk around on and where materials can be stored. These platforms are guarded by rails so safety issues should not cause any problems. Modern scaffold towers are a perfect compromise which offer ease of use and low costs along with practicality and safety, a combination which neither traditional scaffolding installations nor regular ladders can achieve. With these structures now available at many online and high street stores at very reasonable prices they are great choices for the small builder and homeowner alike.
